Communications Coordinator

What I do at Oregon Mentors

I help with our communications projects, daily office support, meeting planning, and bookkeeping when needed.

Pictured here:

Why I like my job

I get to work with and learn from interesting, inspiring people. It also doesn’t hurt that the office is surrounded by great restaurants.

What I do when I’m not working

I like to go to concerts and movies, relax with my friends, explore the city, and try to learn how to cook.

Person who mentored me

Diane Penny, who knew I could do a good job right out of college and gave me the freedom and encouragement I needed to learn. She is always willing help however she can in my job search and professional development.

Person I mentor

I am going to be tutoring and mentoring an African refugee woman and her child and I’d like to think that I mentor my brother, even though he doesn’t really recognize it.

Favorite place in Oregon

NW Portland, Hood River, Lost Lake, Bend, the coast, anywhere with a view of the mountains. After living out of the state for a few years, I have a new appreciation of everywhere in Oregon.

Influential Quote

"All that happens means something; nothing you do is ever insignificant." – Aldous Huxley
